Two and half weeks away and the grass has got to knee high and the weeds pretty bad. |The front beds are ok only needed a quick weed but the onion bed and the herbs and fruit are full of them. Lucklily they're nearly all annuals, seed that was in the home-made compost, and aren't close to flowering yet, so I'll have them out by tomorrow.

Grass cut and bean area, roots, cabbage all hoed. The peas are growing very slowly, the cold/warm/cold/dry weather must be behind it.

At home the celeriac is ready to go in as are most of the beans, courgette, cornichon and pumpkins.squashes.

I have had to re sow leeks, as a cat knocked them over. Will only get small, (but tender) ones know. The kale died, due to drought when away (note: never us small peat pots, dry out too quickly). Sowed some Primo cabbage for autumn/early winter greens and some cauliflower. Need some red cabbage, may cheat and buy plants in.
