Nice weather this week, dry and warm(ish). Finished the curcubits, so that's the bulk of the digging done now.
With car help, I took down the home-made strawberry planter and put it in the fruit area. Filled it with some rubble, a bit of topsoil dug out to accommodate it, and compost from Heap No1. I then planted the best strawberry plants from last year and some new ones.
Planted some flowers in the small bed at the back, 5 Mirabilis tubers and 50 allium moly (golden), there are 4 dhalias in there already, and I'll put in some cornflower, pot marigold and some something else too.
put down the plastic circle things in the middle right bed to warm the soil after making a nice sowing tilth. Tomorrow I'll sow lettuces, raddichio, baby carrots and a few beetroot.
Cut half of the land-cress to take home to make a sauce. Need move this as beans are going here, I'll put some more in the herb bed.
