Planted out two rows of shallots (18 bulbs) today and a dozen garlic. Another two rows of shallota and then about 4 rows of red onions, and that'll be it for alliums (except leeks) this year.
I moved the herbs from bed 1 to the space around the new gooseberry bush. Lots of compost dug in and more on top.

Bed 1 dug and weeded, again, and broad bean (Bunyards Exhibition) sowed in the gaps in the over-wintered Aqua Dulce.
To the rear of these broad beans is where climbing beans will be sown , however I need to cut the large land cress, which came through the snow and frost magnificently (and is actually thriving compared to before the cold). I will sow another clump in the herb centre as it's nice and spicy, hardy. I must try watercress soup with it.
In front of the broad beans, is where the celeriac will go, these need sowing in pots soon, and also witloof and some beetroots. Also do some beetroot n the space where the leeks will go before they are planted out at their final spacing.
Long tailed tits about today and some crows, nothing else.
