It's been very cold and snowy for most of the last 4-5 weeks so nothing doing on the allotment. Ground is either to wet or too hard to dig.
Last visit was day after Boxing Day to drop off compost peelings and collect some Tuscan Black Kale for Game, Chestnut and Kale soup.
On the upside, because of the hard winter weather, we have visitors from the country; in the garden there has been a flock of Redwings and a few fieldfares, feeding in amongst the blackbirds, robins, tits and sparrows. A few song thrush too, which I never see here (I've seen more Kingfishers in SE23/SE6 than S/M Thrushes).
Very nice.
