The last few days have been very hot, 30c yesterday. Done most of the weeding so the plot looks a lot better.
Also managed to transport some plants from home to the plot. Celeriac, the squash, cornichon, borlotti beans and courgettes have gone in. Also 9 red cabbage plants, bought in are in.
The mizuna and pak choi is/has bolted, the weather was too hot. I have some more seed so will sow some later in the summer.
The parsnips are doing ok and amazingly seem to have germinated as two whole rows. The ones I chitted before sowing are ahead, so I'll do the lot this way next year.
Onions and shallots are a bit behind by my reckoning and the garlic looks sickly, no idea why.
Spuds have recovered well from the frost of two weeks ago, I would have earthed them over but I was away.
The herbs are doing well, I received gratefully a lavender plant for the plot. I know have chives, thyme, sage, sorrel, parsley (flat and curly), summer savoury and lemon thyme.

Had the first broad beans of the year, just one pod the rest need another week or so, with some summer savoury, sublime. Hopefully chartenay carrots, peas, beetroot and lettuces to follow in the next days and weeks.
